Summary
Professor Popplescotch the Possum, a bitter inventor seeking vindication after losing to a child's volcano at the Spring Festival, demonstrates his revolutionary reforestation technology on barren Burnt Ridge. His machine successfully transforms the dead hillside into living forest, but a feedback loop causes uncontrolled growth that traps community members including Tilly Chipmunk with six children and Humphrey Hippopotamus. S.A.R.T. conducts coordinated rescues while Adventure Koala uses his new Puff-Plug invention to stop the machine by accessing its emergency shutoff. Though the demonstration was dangerous, the forest remains as a permanent beautiful addition to Adventure Town. Mayor Marigold offers Popplescotch a path forward through proper collaboration with Bella Beaver, and he accepts, naming the new forest Popplescotch Grove.
