Adventure Koala and the Clucksworth Chicken Rescue
Episode #: 40
Theme: courage despite fear

Summary

Gerald Giraffe is counting emergency flares at S.A.R.T. Headquarters when an emergency call comes in - a family of chickens stranded on Little Shell Island with the tide rising. With all other team members busy on separate missions, Gerald must handle his first solo rescue. Despite his nervousness and self-doubt, he takes the rescue boat to the island where he finds the Clucksworth family: parents who run a laundry business and four young chicks named Peep, Fluff, Scramble, and Nugget. The family is trapped with three baskets of crucial business laundry that cannot get wet. Gerald uses his height advantage to wade through increasingly dangerous waters in four trips: first carrying the energetic chicks on his head and neck, then the laundry baskets, and finally the parents. On the last trip, he must run through a large wave while carrying the parents to reach safety. His successful rescue transforms him from a nervous support member to a confident hero who understands that bravery means acting despite fear, not the absence of fear. The grateful Clucksworth family celebrates Gerald with thank-you cookies and dinner invitations, and his team recognizes his achievement.
