== Summary ==
Adventure Koala debuts his new Thread-Line Launcher invention just as an emergency call comes in about a young gecko named Gus trapped in the narrow Shimmer Caves on Frostpeak Mountain. Gus, exploring for blue crystals with his gecko friend Mimi Marmot, became stuck when calcite powder disabled his natural adhesion abilities, and hypothermia is setting in during a winter storm. S.A.R.T. races up the mountain guided by Ellie Eagle through dangerous conditions. The rescue seems impossible - the passage is only four inches wide - until Adventure Koala realizes his Thread-Line Launcher is perfect for the job. With help from the Marmot family, especially young Max whose foresight prevents a critical mistake with cold rescue gear, they successfully extract Gus using the ultra-thin cord. The story concludes with a joyous celebration featuring soup, cocoa, and an epic snowball fight, while Adventure Koala recognizes the rescue potential in the young animals and considers youth outreach programs. Gus gains new appreciation for his 'superhero feet' and dreams of joining S.A.R.T. someday.
